Yeah, this isn’t fucking funny. You know another time when this wasn’t fucking funny? A few months ago when a group of us went out for a night on the town and one of our friends was sexually assaulted in the middle of a club. Someone helped her, but then when she tried to tell people what happened they laughed it off. When we met back up with her later (we weren’t with her when she was assaulted, she went off with some other friends) we found the cops and she reported the incident.
Thanks you fucking arseholes like hrryz, rape is seen as a fucking joke, but you want to know what it really is? Fucking terrifying, traumatic, embarrassing, hurtful, painful, and something you’re just about guarantee to remember and dread for the rest of you fucking life unless, you know, you happen to dissociate or your mind just blocks it out because of how painful the memory is.
Consider this message a big fat FUCK YOU to anyone and everyone who makes rape jokes, says things along the lines of “I totally raped you at >insert game here<!”, or any other form of light comedy about a FUCKING TRAUMATIZING CRIME. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.
